What We Check Before Installation
James checks the existing flooring, subfloor, room transitions, door clearance, and areas that feel loose or uneven. Concrete and wood subfloors have different preparation and product requirements. Any visible repair or leveling work is included when the estimate is prepared.
Hardwood, LVP, and Tile
Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and tile each have different costs, installation methods, and care requirements. The choice should fit the room and be approved for the existing subfloor. Flooring can be installed in one room, across a full floor, or alongside a kitchen, bathroom, or basement remodel. Duckworth does not install carpet.

Flooring Questions
Hardwood or luxury vinyl plank?
Hardwood can be refinished in the future and provides a traditional wood floor. Luxury vinyl plank is often selected for lower cost and easier care in kitchens, basements, and busy rooms. The existing subfloor, room, product specifications, and your preference all matter.
Can you install over the existing floor?
Sometimes. It depends on the existing material, how flat and secure it is, the flooring manufacturer's requirements, and the height at doors and adjoining rooms. James checks those conditions before the installation method is included in the estimate.
Can you fix squeaks and soft spots while you are at it?
Subfloor repairs can be included when loose, damaged, or uneven areas are found. Some conditions are visible during the walkthrough, while others may only be seen after the old flooring is removed.
Do you install carpet?
No. We install hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and tile. If carpet is the right product for your room, we will tell you, but it is not a service we offer.
